Our little ghoul turns one this week and we had a party for her this past Saturday. In all her sweetness she greeted her guests as a Candy Corn Princess.
In late August we went with Aunt Patty, Nani and the cousins to Kiddieland. The historic park was closing after 90 years of making kids giddy and giving parents headaches. The girls had a lot of fun. We feel lucky they got to see it before it went.
In July, we went back to VA to visit Emma, Kung Kung and the cousins. All of them. It was hotter than the hinges on Hades. During our visit we went to a petting zoo and Chloe met a goat.
In June, Chloe enrolled in sports class. This was 5 minutes of instruction on the sport of the week and 40 minutes of chasing around wild children. On this day Chloe learned how to throw and run with a football from her hero Coach Alex.
Chloe went with Daddy Joe to Lelo. She became the subject of a photo shoot, enjoyed the view of the Marina from daddy's desk, did a conference call with Mommy and Baby Sis and met many of Daddy's colleagues.
Happy Easter everyone! We dressed the bears up like bunnies and hopped over to Aunt Patty's for an Easter egg hunt and to eat a wonderful meal complete with a bunny cake.
Chloe turned two years old on March 9th. Chloe blew out candles on a special birthday breakfast waffle and on three different birthday cakes. It became so regular that she expected it at every meal. We also had a lovely party with the family and ate delicious cake and ice cream.
On February 15th the Lord officially recognized our bears as two of his children. We had a glorious weekend. Our family from both coasts came to celebrate--cousin Al and his wife Astrid from LA , Ei Ei Patty, her family and Emma and Kung Kung from Virginia and Uncle Jim and Aunt Rusty from Florida. We also had a wonderful lunch at Cafe De Luca with the entire Chicago based family.
Chloe and Marin went to Aunt Cece's for chili and this is what they looked like. The first thing I said was, "How come I didn't get the memo?" We don't often do the twinzy thing due to a strong belief in protecting their individuality but you can't deny for a second how cute these two were looking.
